- Log in to the Steam website through the app or to the store website steampowered.com.
- Enter the Steam account username and password received in the email with your order.
- Log in to the mail server in your browser. Enter the email address and password received with your order. You will receive an email notification from Steam about logging in to your account, possibly with a confirmation code.
- Change the email address in your Steam account to your own email address. In Steam, in the "Account" section, click "Change contact email address." Follow the on-screen instructions. A confirmation code will be sent to your old email address. Go to the email server, open the email, and click the link in the email to confirm the email change.

When you install and launch the game for the first time on Steam, the game will contact the EA server. You'll need to create an account on the EA server and link it to your Steam account.
