Product Description
3. To obtain an emulsion of turpentine, a stabilizer solution was added to V1 ml of an alcohol solution of turpentine with a concentration of 10 kg/m3. The total volume of the resulting emulsion is V2. Experimental conditions: refractive index of the medium n0 = 1.332; wavelength of incident light λ = 540 nm; cuvette thickness = 3 cm.
V1 * 106 m3 V2 * 106 m3 n1 p, kg/m3 D
1.4 100 1.475 858 0.14
Calculate: 1) the mass concentration (kg/m3) of turpentine in m of the resulting emulsion; 2) the turbidity of the resulting emulsion; 3) the average radius of turpentine particles.
