Product Description
691. From a 0.0500 g sample of steel, after appropriate processing, 50.0 ml of KMnO4 solution were obtained. The relative optical density of this solution, measured with respect to a comparison solution containing 10.00 ml of KMnO4 solution in 50.0 ml (T KMnO4 = 0.00126), was found to be Ax(rel) = 0.80. The relative optical densities of four standard solutions containing 5.00; 7.00; 8.00 and 9.00 ml of KMnO4 solution with the same titer in 50.0 ml, measured with respect to the same comparison solution, were found to be 1.19; 0.72; 0.49; 0.24, respectively. Plot a calibration graph in Aotn – CMn coordinates and determine the percentage content of manganese in the steel.
