Product Description
20. The CO content in a 3.21 L air sample was determined by passing air over iodine pentoxide heated to 150 C: I2O5 + 5CO = 5CO2 + I2. The released iodine was distilled off at this temperature and absorbed by a solution of iodide ion. 7.76 ml of 0.00221 N thiosulfate solution were used to titrate the resulting triiodide ion. Calculate the CO content in the air (%), assuming that the air density is 1.2 * 10-3 g / ml.
