Product Description
5. Calculate the theoretical consumption rates (in kg per ton of product) of raw materials for the production of simple superphosphate from apatite concentrate and the phosphorus content (% wt. P2O5) in the product. To simplify the problem, it is assumed that side reactions do not occur and all impurities from the phosphate raw material pass into the product without interacting with sulfuric acid. Initial data for the calculation: the phosphorus content in apatite in concentrate in terms of P2O5 is 38.9% wt., the moisture content of the phosphate raw material is 1% wt. The concentration of the initial sulfuric acid is 92.5% wt. H2SO4 For cooking superphosphate, diluted acid with a concentration of 68% wt. H2SO4, the moisture content of the product is 1% wt.
