Product Description
34. A 0.0556 g sample of steel was dissolved in acid, treated with diethyldite carbamate and the volume of the solution was brought to 100.0 cm3. The solution was photocolorimetered at wavelengths of 328 nm and 368 nm in a cuvette with an absorbing layer thickness of 20 mm, and the following results were obtained: λ=328 nm A=0.75; λ=368 nm A=0.58. Determine the nickel and cobalt content in steel (in%) if at 328 nm the molar coefficient of nickel (εNi) is 35210; cobalt molar coefficient (εCo) is 3910; and at λ=368 nm εNi=21820 εCo=14340.
