Product Description
1. The rate of oxidation of butyl alcohol by hypochlorous acid does not depend on the concentration of the oxidized substance and is proportional to HClO to the second power. Calculate the time during which the oxidation reaction of butyl alcohol with hypochlorous acid will complete 90% in a solution containing 0.1 mol/l HClO and 1.1 mol/l alcohol at 298.2 K. The reaction rate constant at 298.2 K is 24 min-1*mol-1*l.
