1a) Expose 1,1-dichloropentane to the action of an excess of an alcoholic solution of alkali. The resulting compound is treated with metallic sodium and then with 2-iodopropane. To act on the final product of the reaction with water in the presence of mercury (Kucherov's reaction). Write the equations of the ongoing reactions and name the resulting substances.
