Product Description
3. To 100 ml of a solution containing 1 mg/l Nd3+ was added 5 ml of a solution of di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid in isooctane. After extraction, 0.02 mg/l Nd3+ remained in the aqueous phase. Find the distribution coefficient, the degree of extraction and the concentration of neodymium in the organic phase.
Answer: D = 980; R = 98%; C (Nd2+) o.f. = 19.6 mg/l.
