Product Description
2. The non-transfer galvanic cell is composed of hydrogen and chlorine electrodes immersed in an aqueous solution of HCl acid with a concentration of 50 mol/m3. Gaseous hydrogen is passed in the hydrogen electrode at a pressure of 1.2 atm, and chlorine in the chlorine electrode at a pressure of 2 atm.
Temperature 298 K.
Necessary:
1) write down the GE scheme;
2) write down the reactions taking place on the electrodes and the current-forming reaction;
3) calculate the EMF of a given galvanic cell.
