Product Description
2. Using the data in Table 1, construct a fusibility diagram for the system silver chloride sodium chloride.
Table 1
AgCl,
mol % 0 20 40 60 80 100
Tn, K 1073 1004 941 869 788 728
Tk, K 1073 952 848 735 742 728
Where Tn is the temperature of the beginning of crystallization; Тк is the temperature of the end of crystallization of the alloy.
According to the diagram for alloys 45 mol%. and 70 mol%. AgCl determine:
1. Number of degrees of freedom at temperatures of 950 K and 840 K;
2. The composition of the first crystal and the last drop of liquid;
3. The mass of silver chloride in the solid and liquid state when 2 kg of the alloy is cooled to a temperature of 850 K.
On the diagram, mark all areas and lines, give the full name to the diagram.
