In Resident Evil 4, Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy is tasked with rescuing the kidnapped daughter of the US president. The investigation leads him to a remote European village inhabited by aggressive fanatics of the mysterious Los Illuminados sect behind the kidnapping. Leon will have to face monstrous mutants and hostile villagers, whose minds are enslaved by the parasites of Las Plagas. These enemies are very different from the hulking zombies from the previous games in the series.
