- Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, set in Ancient Greece four hundred years before the events of Origins. "Odyssey" moves even further from the typical action game, adding role-playing elements such as long dialogues, character gender selection, and the like. Players can choose between two main characters: mercenaries Alexios and Kassandra, direct descendants of the legendary King Leonidas of Sparta. The plot centers on the Peloponnesian War, which divided Greece into two warring camps. Players will experience non-linear quests, the opportunity to romance a huge variety of characters, a rich game world encompassing much of ancient Greece, and various updated and refined mechanics from previous games in the series. These include parkour, naval battles, and skirmishes that are carried over almost verbatim from the previous game. The game's world is divided into 27 zones, making it the largest in the Assassin's Creed series.
