To complete this assignment of the test, you will need the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement of the closed joint-stock company "Vympel". These forms of financial statements are provided on the following pages. In addition, it would be a good idea to have a calculator at hand, since you will have to do quite a lot of calculations.
You will be offered several tasks. We will briefly explain what each of them is.
1. Calculation of financial indicators of ZAO "Vympel" in 2011.
In the first task, you are required to calculate the indicators of the financial condition of the organization as of December 31, 2011 and as of December 31 of the previous year. Then write the obtained data in the proposed tables.
2. Analysis of financial indicators of ZAO "Vympel" in 2011.
In the second task, you must analyze the financial indicators calculated in the first task. You must explain what each obtained indicator of ZAO "Vympel" means and what it "tells" you. In addition, you must compare the indicators as of December 31, 2010 and December 31, 2011 and comment on the change. For clarity, you can draw graphs, charts or diagrams.
3. Determining the type of financial stability.
In the third task, as its name suggests, you need to determine the type of financial stability. As you know, there are only four of them:
• absolute financial stability;
• normal financial stability;
• unstable financial position;
• critical financial position.
4. Summing up.
In the fourth task, you must draw conclusions, identify problem areas or indicate their absence. And also give recommendations to the management of ZAO Vympel on improving the financial position.
